Find the concrete and steel you're paying for but don't need.

Upload the set. In two minutes overplan flags the over-specified elements; the full report puts the est. saving in m³, tonnes and money. Same compliance, less to pour.

In 23 real steel buildings, over 10,000 beams averaged under 50% utilisation. Rationalisation, not strength, set the sections. Moynihan and Allwood, 2014

Two minutes from upload to a ranked flagged list. The full report puts m³, tonnes and money on every element.

    Drop in your drawing set

GA, sections and schedules as AutoCAD DWG, or the Revit RVT model. Up to 500 MB. No account, no card, nothing to install.

  2. 2

    We find the over-design

Wall and slab thickness, beam and column sections, reinforcement ratio, concrete class, cover, footing sizes and floor-to-floor, benchmarked against code minimums (EC2, ACI 318) and typical practice. Signed in, you add the project and its design code.

The flagged list is free. The full report puts the estimated saving on every element in m³, tonnes and money, with the sheet and section mark to go to.

Numbers you can take into the VE meeting.

The full report puts the useful details in one place: element, drawn size, benchmark, estimated saving, and the sheet and section mark to go to.

  • Estimated saving per element in m³, tonnes and kg/m³
  • Sheet, section mark and layer reference for every flag
  • Ranked by cost impact, so the checking engineer starts where the money is

Example, not a live result. The bar shows the suggested size as a share of the drawn size; the red part is the headroom. The code basis for each change is on the examples page. Savings are estimates for the engineer of record to confirm.

Files are private and encrypted in transit. What we keep and why is in the data policy.

What does the scan benchmark?
The project’s applicable local design code by country or region, or a custom code basis the engineer of record supplies, plus typical practice: wall and slab thickness, beam and column sections, reinforcement ratio, concrete class, cover, footing sizes and floor-to-floor height. That is where rationalisation and stacked safety factors hide.
Does it check my design?
No. It flags elements with apparent headroom against code minimums and typical practice. The unity checks, the design certificate and any independent check stay with the engineer of record.
Which files can I upload?
AutoCAD DWG (R14 through 2026) and Revit RVT (2019 and later), up to 500 MB per file. It works best with S-series sheets on standard layers, or a Revit model with structural categories and schedules.
What is in the free preliminary scan?
A sheet and layer check, and the flagged list: elements with headroom and a severity. The full report adds the estimated saving per element in m³, tonnes and kg/m³, ranked by cost impact, with the sheet, section mark and layer reference for each.
What happens to my file?
It is encrypted in transit and stored privately. We keep uploaded files to build the benchmark. They are never sold and never published, and you can ask us to delete your file at any time — we do it within 7 days. The providers that handle the file to run the service are named in the data policy.
Who is overplan for?
Structural drafters and civil engineers who want to rationalise down, not up: fewer tonnes, fewer congested pours, same compliance. GCs and developers use the report to open the value-engineering conversation.
